Weigh-In Results: Lara 153.5lbs, Hurd 153lbs

Erislandy Lara and Jarrett Hurd hit the scale today ahead of tomorrow’s unification fight.

Tomorrow night’s Showtime main event featuring a junior middleweight title unification is good to go. Erislandy Lara (25-2-2, 14 KOs) will be putting his WBA world title on the line while Jarrett Hurd (21-0, 15 KOs) risks his IBF strap.

During tonight’s official weigh-in Hurd was first to the scale and weighed-in just under ther 154 pound limit at 153 pounds even. He looked to be in excellent physical condition and ready to scrap.

Lara would step on the scale next and weighed-in slightly heavier than Hurd at 153 12 pounds. He too looked to be in pristine condition and also looked ready to put on a show. All in all, good news as we’re primed to have an excellent style match-up tomorrow evening with a couple of world titles up for grabs.

“They always said I’m not ready” said Hurd. “...This is my time right now, I cannot wait to get on that stage and show the world I’m asking for this fight.

“We know he’s gonna use the ring, but you can’t run from ‘Swift’ Jarrett Hurd for 12 rounds. I’ma be in his face, ain’t no running, and come fight night you gonna have to engage at some point.”
