Today, starting at 12:30 pm ET, Showtime Sports will be live streaming the kickoff press conference for Errol Spence vs. Carlos Ocampo, set for June 16 on Showtime. In this fight Spence (23-0, 20 KOs) will be making a mandatory title defense of his IBF welterweighttitle against Ocampo (220-13 KOs) following his stoppage win over Lamont Peterson in January.
Spence, 28, is already considered by many to be the best welterweight out there and now just needs the fights to prove it — although those haven’t been coming all too easily. His name has been thrown around with former unified titleholder Keith Thurman, who has made it known that Spence isn’t on his radar for this year, and the likes of Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter — two other top welterweights who haven’t shown any inclination to make that fight.
In fact the only top fighter in his weight class who has been saying Spence’s name hasn’t even had a fight at 147lbs yet.
@ErrolSpenceJr let's make that basketball bet and when ever we fight will see how you gone out box me,walk me down and who's smarter. Don't let the size fool you.

But until any of that goes down Spence will have to take care of business against Ocampo, who is in the mandatory challenger position but hasn’t exactly inspired fans. Spence is expected to have a rather easy night against Ocampo and says he’s still targeting more marquee names.
I’m fighting my MANDATORY opponent ordered by the IBF.. hopefully me & the winner out of @ShowtimeShawnP & @DannySwift can unify right after ‼️ y’all just want everything now lol
