Jermell Charlo: Tell little kid Munguia to come see us!

Wil Esco is an assistant editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2014.

WBC junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo took some time to talk to the media ahead of his upcoming title defense against Austin Trout. In the midst of the conversation, Charlo gives his thoughts on Jaime Munguia who just recently made a statement with a big win over Sadam Ali.

Charlo on what he thinks his strongest skill set is:

“My movement. My movement and setting up a punch with the ability of being more accurate than average fighters.”

On Jaime Munguia’s recent hype, who also campaigns in his division:

“Who is that?! You talkin’ bout the guy from Golden Boy, that little kid?! Tell him come see us! We ain’t going to see them, tell em come see us. We already the reigning, defending WBC prestigious champion. They just winning a title talkin’ bout they wanna get bigger belts.

“Let him fight someone else I guarantee we gonna see what he really made of...I let em get their hype, shit! It’s all good. They piss me off today because I’m over here cutting that weight so I’ma tell ya’ll what it is!

“Me and Errol [Spence] and my brother are the best fighters in the world, not only Texas. We the best in the world!”
