Regis Prograis Media Workout

The Rougarou defends his interim world title on July 14.

As Regis Prograis (21-0, 18 KOs) gets prepared to defend his interim WBC 140lb title next month against Juan Jose Velasco (20-0, 12 KOs), Fight Hub TV is able to get some footage of Prograis during his training camp.

In this video you can watch Prograis working with trainer Bobby Benton on his movement and accuracy which have both become a staple of his game. Prograis, 29, is most recently coming off a stoppage win over Julius Indongo this past March and is hoping to soon target some of the biggest names around his weight class.

His opponent, Velasco, 31, is an undefeated fighter from Argentina who has only fought once before in The States. Prograis will be his stiffest test by far but, quite frankly, he’s not expected to be able to make over this hurdle.

The two junior welterweights will collide in Prograis’ hometown of New Orleans on July 14.
