Showtime previews Errol Spence vs. Carlos Ocampo

Spence will defend his IBF welterweight title this Saturday.

In anticipation of Errol Spence Jr.’s IBF title defense against Carlos Ocampo this weekend, Showtime Sports releases a short preview of the fight from Spence’s perspective. Spence (23-0, 20 KOs) is arguably the most dangerous welterweight in the world right now and his inability to lure in other big name welterweights for a title unification has led to this mandatory title defense.

Spence put his strap on the line in his home state of Texas.

“You know, it’s an awesome feeling just having that support of people who watched me grow up, you know, from a kid in boxing, going to the Olympics, and now being a world champion and fighting in Dallas so, it’s a great feeling to have the support of my homegrown fans,” Spence says.

“The dream is right there, right in front of me, it’s on the other side of the glass to become undisputed welterweight champion of the world. And really I just gotta walk through and grab it.”

Spence and Ocampo will go to battle this Saturday on Showtime, starting at 9 p.m. ET.
