Former welterweight titleholder Kell Brook and current lightweight titleholder Katie Taylor will be part of the card on July 28, headlined by Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker at O2 Arena in London.

Brook (37-2, 26 KO) will face Canada’s Brandon Cook (20-1, 13 KO) in what Eddie Hearn says is an eliminator fight at 154 pounds. Cook, 32, is “highly-ranked” but not highly-regarded, a relative unknown on the scene, with BoxRec ranking him at No. 45 worldwide in the junior middleweight division.

Cook was stopped three fights ago by Kanat Islam, but has since returned with a pair of easy wins. On paper, he figures to be no real match for the 32-year-old Brook, a world class fighter coming off of a two-round wipeout of Sergey Rabchenko.

Taylor (9-0, 4 KO) will defend her WBA and IBF lightweight titles against Arkansas’ Kimberly Connor (13-3-2, 5 KO), a 37-year-old mandatory challenger from Little Rock. Taylor last fought on April 28, dominating Victoria Bustos to unify the belts. Connor fought Bustos in March 2017, losing a decision in Argentina. She last fought in July 2017, beating a sub-.500 opponent in Baton Rouge.
