Spence-Ocampo: Final Press Conference (Live at 3pm ET)

Showtime will live stream the final presser before Errol Spence’s IBF title defense this weekend.

Wil Esco is an assistant editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2014.

Today, starting at 3 p.m. ET, IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. and mandatory challenger Carlos Ocampo will be holding their final press conference before their fight on Saturday. The bout will take place in Spence’s home state of Texas and will air live on Showtime, starting at 9 p.m. ET.

Spence (23-0, 20 KOs) is most recently coming off a dismantling of Lamont Peterson in January and says he hopes to stay active this year, even if he can’t land one of the title unification he hopes for.

Meanwhile Ocampo (22-0, 13 KOs) is something on an unknown heading into this fight. Yes, he’s an undefeated challenger, but he’s never fought someone near the caliber of Spence nor has he ever fought outside of his home country of Mexico. So with all the hype surrounding Spence, it’s really no wonder that Spence is expected to do a job on him come fight night. But hey, you never know! Right?
