Big upset in Queens: former WBC lightweight champ Dejan Zlaticanin is dropped twice and stopped in round two by Roberto Ramirez (18-2-1, 12KOs) #boxing pic.twitter.com/1zpym8oyXc

The Montenegrin bruiser was making his second appearance since a horrific knockout loss to Mikey Garcia in January of 2017. Ramirez (18-2-1, 13 KO) caught him repeatedly with uppercuts before ultimately putting the battered Zlaticanin (23-2, 16 KO) away in the second round.
Betting $100 on Ramirez would have netted you $4,400. No word on whether there’s some unlucky bastard out there who put $5k on Dejan for grocery money.
What’s telling in these clips is that you can see just how much crisper Zlaticanin’s punches are than Ramirez’s, but he still eats those wider shots. If he’s at the point where those sorts of punches can land and hurt him, his comeback prospects are slim.
Zlaticanin is 34 years old; it’s likely we’ve seen the last of him in title contention.
