As heavyweight Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) prepares to end his layoff spanning 2+ years, the former unified titleholder holds an open media workout ahead of this Saturday’s return fight against Sefer Sefari, set to take place in Manchester.
Fury is obviously in much better condition than he was when he ballooned up in weight during his time away from the sport, but the real telling of where he’s currently at will be demonstrated inside the ring. For now, though, we can get a glimpse of Fury’s form in this public workout caught by Fight Hub TV.
There’s not a ton of actual punching in this workout, but Fury still shows some of his patented quickness and slickness defensively, especially for a man of his size.
Fury is expected to take a couple of tune-up fights to work his way back into the sport, and then says he’ll be targeting all of the top titleholders in the division. Fury’s adamant that he’s the best of the bunch, but showing is better than telling.
