Garcia-Easter, Whyte-Parker, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for July 27-28

It’s a busy weekend for boxing.

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Friday, July 27

CCTV-5 (CHN), 7:30 am ET, Knockout CP Freshmart vs Chaozhong Xiong, Sho Kimura vs Froilan Saludar.

Telemundo, 11:35 pm ET, Saul Juarez vs Mario Andrade.

Saturday, July 28

Sky Box Office (UK), 1:00 pm ET, Dillian Whyte vs Joseph Parker, Dereck Chisora vs Carlos Takam, Katie Taylor vs Kimberly Connor. There’s more on the show, too, including returns for Conor Benn, Sam Eggington, Joshua Buatsi, and Anthony Fowler. Whyte-Parker is a big fight, with the winner right in line for a world title shot, you’d think. BLH will have live coverage.

ESPN+, 8:30 pm ET, Christopher Diaz vs Masayuki Ito, Artemio Reyes vs Gabriel Bracero. Diaz and Ito are fighting for a 130-pound belt that Vasyl Lomachenko vacated when he moved up and won a title at 135. BLH will have live coverage.

SHO, 10:00 pm ET, Mikey Garcia vs Robert Easter Jr, Luis Ortiz vs Razvan Cojanu, Mario Barrios vs Jose Roman. Garcia-Easter is a title unification fight at 135 and a really good main event. Easter hasn’t terribly impressed in recent outings, but he’s won, and styles make fights, and he can be an awkward guy to face. Garcia has designs on moving to 147, but he has to get through this first. BLH will have live coverage.
