Felipe Orucuta, McWilliams Arroyo complete Superfly 3

The tripleheader takes place September 8th

Juan Francisco Estrada and Kazuto Ioka, previously confirmed for September 8th’s Superfly 3, now have opponents: Mexican puncher Felipe Orucuta and Superfly veteran McWilliams Arroyo, respectively. The card takes place at The Forum in Inglewood and can be watched on HBO.

Orucute (36-4, 30 KO) has already lost the nickname battle, being “Gallito” to Estrada’s (36=3, 25 KO) “El Gallo,” but is certainly a finisher. Two of his losses came against Omar Narvaez, one by split decision and one by majority decision, and his only other defeat since 2010 came against Jose Cayetano. Even if he looks to be outclassed, he should put on a good fight.

Arroyo (17-3, 14 KO) fell to Roman Gonzalez before the dawn of Superfly, but snapped “Chocolatito’s” 10-fight knockout streak in the process. He went on to upset Carlos Cuadras at Superfly 2 and figures to be a stiff test for the returning Ioka (22-1, 13 KO), a three-weight champion making his 115-pound debut.

Short on name power though it may be, I like the matchups here. Should be a fun night, though I’d imagine the majority of you will be tuning in to Danny Garcia vs. Shawn Porter instead.
