Just a few days before the junior lightweight title fight between Tevin Farmer (25-5-1, 5 KOs), and Billy Dib (43-4, 24 KOs) which will be held at Technology Park just outside of Syndey, Australia, ESPN has announced that the fight will be streamed live on the ESPN+ app for the Stateside audience.
The stream will include a fight between junior middleweight Tim Tszyu (9-0, 7 KOs) and Stevie Ongen Ferdinandus (27-15-1, 14 KOs), and because of the time difference the stream will kick off at about 6:15 a.m. ET, with the main event between Farmer and Dib not set to start before 7:30 a.m. ET.
Farmer, 28, is most recently coming off a controversial decision loss to Kenichi Ogawa last December in his first shot at a world title. However questionable the decision, though, Ogawa would end up failing a drug test and be stripped of the title, with Farmer’s loss overturned to a no contest while wiping the loss from his official record. Now Farmer will have another shot at the IBF strap.
Meanwhile Dib, 32, has won four straight bouts since getting stopped by Takashi Miura in 2015. He most recently took a unanimous decision win over Phum Kunmat last December.
