Antonio Tarver’s freefall continued on Monday when “The Magic Man” was arrested for domestic battery in Florida. He was charged with a misdemeanor and is currently out on a $1000 bond.

A former standout light heavyweight and solid cruiserweight best known for his legendary knockout of Roy Jones Jr., Tarver (31-6-1, 22 KO) has spent the ‘10s falling apart, starting with a failed drug test after a 2012 draw with Lateef Kayode that cost him gigs at NBC Sports and Showtime. He went on to reinvent himself as a heavyweight, knocking out Jonathon Banks and drawing with Steve Cunningham in 2015, but tested positive once again and has not fought since.

This ESPN article from 2016 has a good rundown of his many, many issues.

This seems to be a trend for 2018. You’d think these guys would have their fill of punching people from their day jobs, but alas.
