After a pair of tune-up knockouts each, WBC Super Featherweight Champion Miguel Berchelt and Mickey Roman are finally set to duke it out on November 3rd.
Source says Top Rank has a signed contract from Mickey Roman for a title fight with 130-pound champion Miguel Berchelt Nov. 3 with LA and Texas as possible landing spots...great fight!

I’m assuming that’s Los Angeles, not Louisiana.
Berchelt (34-1, 30 KO) overpowered Francisco Vargas for the belt early last year, then handily defeated the ever-dangerous Takashi Miura in his first deense. His last two bouts have been less than eye-catching, but he was at least efficient about it, dispatching Maxwell Awuku and Jonathan Victor Barros in three rounds apiece.
Roman (60-12, 47 KO) fell short against the aforementioned Miura in a terrific war on the same card that saw Berchelt beat Vargas, but bounced back in a big way by stopping Orlando Salido last December to earn his mandatory spot. He’s since knocked out Aristides Perez and Michel Marcano, coincidentally also in six combined rounds.
This will be a banger while it lasts, easily one of the best super featherweight matchups available in terms of action potential. CAn’t wait.
