I wish I could give you a detailed account of tonight’s action but WBO super bantamweight titleholder Isaac Dogboe made it an extremely short night on ESPN, crushing challenger Hidenori Otake in the opening round. The fight started off fast, with Otake throwing shots with both hands, and the fight looked like it was shaping up to be a barn burner, but Dogboe responded with fury punches that put a quick hurtin’ on Otake.

Otake would get up from that knockdown but Dogboe would pour it right back on, hitting him with a right hand that forced another count from the referee. And once Otake made it through that count Dogboe would unleash even more thunder...
And that's it! @IsaacDogboe retains his crown. Next goal: unify the division. #DogboeOtake pic.twitter.com/ljtxZZo29V

With the win Dogboe moves to 20-0 (14 KOs) and called for a title unification fight. Otake drops to 31-3-3 (14 KOs) and has to still be stunned by the complete ambush he just endured.
