With his win over Ray Beltran now in the rear view mirror, Jose Pedraza is ready for what’s next, and what’s next is almost certainly a December 1 date with Vasiliy Lomachenko.
From ESPN:
“Now I can talk about the future. I want to unify the division. I want to battle against all the champions. I want the big names. Bring Lomachenko! I have the perfect style to beat him.”
Pedraza (25-1, 12 KO) will be a massive underdog against pound-for-pound top dog Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KO), but the Puerto Rican switch hitter doesn’t seem to be bothered by that. Of course, he’s not the first to think he has the style to befuddle Lomachenko, whose own style has puzzled every pro opponent since his second pro fight, and made him a bona fide amateur legend.
What do you think? Does Pedraza have any real chance against Lomachenko in December, or will we see him come up well short as he did against Gervonta Davis?
