Naazim Richardson breaks down Danny Garcia vs. Shawn Porter

The well respected trainer gives his thoughts on how the fight plays out.

In this video interview with Fight Hub TV, trainer Naazim Richardson shares some quick thoughts on the upcoming welterweight title fight between Danny Garcia and Shawn Porter. Check it out...

Richardson on how he breaks down Garcia-Porter:

“I’m a little biased because — I know both of ‘em, I’ve known both of them for years. I go back with Shawn to when his dad used to fight in the amateurs and I’ve known Danny Garcia since he was the lil’ puppy in the Silver Gloves. Two outstanding fighters.

“Here’s the one thing that I would say, that you know with Shawn Porter — with Shawn Porter you gotta get your shotgun out and you gotta start shooting when he get on your lawn. ‘Cause if he get on your steps and get on your porch and get in that front door, I don’t care, even if you get him back outside, he gonna do some damage! So you gotta get to him early, man, this guy’s a monster.”

On if Garcia can be slick enough to cope with Porter’s tactics:

“Danny Garcia can box. He can box a lot more than what people have seen. Now will he be able to apply that? You know, it won’t be the first boxer that Shawn Porter has faced. But it’s a great fight, we gotta sit back and see it. Just pray nobody gets serious hurt.”
