Canelo-Golovkin 2: Canelo Alvarez’s Grand Arrival

Canelo Alvarez shows up in Las Vegas ahead of this weekend’s title fight with Gennady Golovkin.

Fight week marches on! And just like his foe Gennady Golovkin, former middleweight titleholder Canelo Alvarez made his Grand Arrival in Las Vegas yesterday — much to the admiration of all his loyal fans, who were on hand from the second his car arrived on the scene.

Immediately after arriving, Canelo worked his way to the stage for a ceremonial press conference just days before he faces Golovkin inside the ring. Canelo thanked all of his fans for their loyal support and says it only encourages him to perform and give them a fight that they deserve.

Canelo also told the world that he’ll be looking to score a knockout of Golovkin this time around in order to score an decisive victory, following the divisive draw we witnessed last year. The lead up to this fight has caused a lot of personal animosity between Canelo and Golovkin, and fans will be looking forward to seeing that play out during the fight.
