Canelo vs GGG 2 replay coming to HBO on September 22

As always the week after a big pay-per-view fight, HBO has scheduled the replay for Saturday’s Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin rematch for the following Saturday.

The fight will air on HBO on Saturday, September 22, at 10:05 pm ET.

Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KO) won an already highly-debated majority decision over Golovkin (38-1-1, 34 KO) on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and fight fans hardcore and casual around the world have been shouting about the action and the decision ever since the fight ended.

One thing I don’t think is real debatable, though, is that it was a good fight, kind of showed, at various times, the best of both fighter, and is worth tuning in to see next weekend if you missed the live action last night.

Right now, all signs are pointing toward a third fight between the two, perhaps on Cinco De Mayo weekend in 2019.
