Anthony Joshua and Alexander Povetkin hit the scale today ahead of tomorrow’s heavyweight title fight, and Joshua weighed-in just slightly heavier than his last outing against Joseph Parker.
Joshua would tip the scale at 246lbs, looking much like his usual self, while Povetkin weighed-in at 222lbs. So not only will Joshua go into this fight with a height advantage over Povetkin, he’ll also have a 20+ pound advantage inside the ring.

Joshua then offered these thoughts to Sky Sports regarding his thoughts on their respective weights:
“He’s going to be quick, going to be fast, so I’ll put on my dancing shoes and be fast with my feet,” Joshua told Sky Sports.
”I’m a physical, strong guy, who knows how to box.”
Povetkin, on the other hand, said he was very happy with the weight difference, insinuating that he has no real concerns about what issues that might pose for him in the ring. I suppose we’ll find out soon enough.
