Season two of the World Boxing Super Series includes another cruiserweight tournament, and there’s now a doubleheader official for Chicago’s UIC Pavilion on November 10, featuring former titleholders Mairis Briedis and Krzysztof Glowacki in separate bouts.

Briedis (24-1, 18 KO) will take on Noel Mikaelian (23-1, 10 KO). Glowacki (30-1, 19 KO) will meet Maksim Vlasov (42-2, 25 KO) in the other fight. Both are set for 12 rounds.

Briedis, 33, defeated Mike Perez in a first round matchup in the last WBSS, before losing to Oleksandr Usyk in the semifinal. But he gave Usyk a real test, too, and could be considered the favorite for the season two tournament.

Mikaelian, aka Noel Gevor, suffered his lone loss to Krzysztof Wlodarczyk in May 2017, which kept him out of the first season tournament. The 28-year-old hasn’t fought since September 2017.

Glowacki, 32, has won four straight since losing the WBO title to Usyk in September 2016. Vlasov, 32, is a veteran who started his career as a middleweight and is unbeaten as a cruiserweight, with his two losses coming as a light heavyweight to Isaac Chilemba and Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez.
