Wilder-Fury: Official Trailer

Showtime previews Deontay Wilder’s upcoming heavyweight title defense against former champ Tyson Fury.

In anticipation of the December 1st heavyweight title fight between WBC champion Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, Showtime has released an official trailer for the bout, highlighting their roads towards this impending collision.

“What other heavyweight do what I do?” Wilder asks. “One punch, watch your body shatter all over the canvas.”

Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) enters this bout coming off a career best win over Luis Ortiz in March, in a fight that’s a sure to be a candidate for Fight of The Year. Wilder then targeted an undisputed heavyweight title unification with Anthony Joshua, but for whatever reason, depending on which side you believe, that fight couldn’t come together for this year. Wilder then turned his attention to Fury.

Fury (27-0, 19 KOs) is coming off two tune-up bouts against lesser opposition as he’s worked himself back from a two-year hiatus, plagued by substance abuse and other inner demons. He says he’s got his life together and for the most part he has seemed to pull himself out of dark place, but the question remains if it’s too little too late to contend at the top of heavyweight boxing.

Wilder and Fury will square off at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on the first day of September, which will headline a Showtime PPV event.
