Taylor (13-0, 11 KO) is coming off of the toughest fight of his career, a back-and-forth battle with former champion Viktor Postol at the same SSE Hydro. The victory, added to a résumé that already featured stoppages of Ohara Davies and Miguel Vazquez, has most observers pegging him to reach the finals.
Martin (22-0, 12 KO) has risen through the ranks with only a handful of missteps, but has nowhere near the same level of experience against top-level opposition. While the potential is certainly there, this is an uphill battle.
Burnett (19-0, 9 KO), the WBA “Super” Bantamweight Champion, caught some flak for avoiding Zolani Tete, but does boast solid wins over Lee Haskins and Zhanat Zhakiyanov. He’s a sizable favorite over Donaire (38-5, 24 KO), who is on the decline and nearly seven years removed from his last appearance at 118 pounds.
