Carroll (16-0-1, 3 KO) fought Gillaume Frenois in a final eliminator this past December, only to walk away with a split draw. The level of he and Farmer’s (28-4-1, 6 KO) enmity is such that they’re fighting anyway in the third defense of the latter’s IBF super featherweight title.
The card will also feature one of the biggest possible women’s fights as Katie Taylor (12-0, 5 KO) looks to unify her IBF and WBA lightweight titles with Rose Volante’s (14-0, 8 KO) WBO belt. Volante will be making just her second appearance outside her native Brazil, while Taylor competes Stateside for the third time in a row.
There’s also a middleweight bout between veteran tough guy Gabriel Rosado (24-11-1, 14 KO), who’s coming off a split draw against Luis Arias, and Maciej Sulecki (27-1, 11 KO), who suffered his first professional loss to Danny Jacobs last year. Hank Lundy (29-7-1, 14 KO) fights Avery Sparrow (9-1, 3 KO), while Olympic standouts Daniyar Yeleussinov (5-0, 3 KO) and John Joe Nevin (11-0, 4 KO) face TBA.
