Munguia vs Inoue: Title fights set, fighters make weight

Tomorrow night’s world title doubleheader streaming live on DAZN is set, as the fighters made weight today in Houston.

In the main event, Jaime Munguia (31-0, 26 KO) will defend his WBO junior middleweight title against Japan’s Takeshi Inoue (13-0-1, 7 KO). Munguia weighed in at 153.2, with Inoue at 153.6, both under the 154-pound limit.

The co-feature, for the WBA “world” featherweight title, is also good to go. Jesus Rojas (26-2-2, 19 KO) weighed in at the limit of 126 pounds, Xu Can (15-2, 2 KO) tipped the scales a bit lighter, at 125.6.

Top prospect Vergil Ortiz Jr (11-0, 11 KO) will also be in action, facing Jesus Valdez (23-4-1, 12 KO) in a 10-round fight. Ortiz weighed in at 142, with Valdez at 143.6 for the catchweight bout.
