All Access: Pacquiao-Broner (Preview)

Showtime previews it’s All Access series on Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner.

As Manny Pacquiao (60-7-2, 39 KOs) gets ready to take on Adrien Broner (33-3-1, 24 KOs) in a Showtime main event on Jan. 19, the network releases a preview of its All Access coverage for the fight, set to debut tomorrow night on Showtime at 10:30 p.m. ET.

In this preview Broner discusses a pivot moment in his life — the moment when he decided to take boxing seriously if he were to ever make it out of the jail cell he was sitting in at the time...

“Got in trouble, got in trouble, went to jail. Was facing like 57 years. My trial date was coming up, I had like a week left. I was doing 23 hours in my room, 1 hour out a day, and I was writing raps. Then I just stopped, looked out the window...I’m like ‘man, what the fuck I’ma do if I get out?’

“I was like ‘aight, I’ma sell drugs.’..then I was like ‘nah, I’ll be back in here.’ Then I was like ‘I’ma box.’ I made up my mind that day that if God let me out of here, I’ma box...

“Then a week later I got out, and I ran to the gym. And now I’m here fighting Pacquiao. I never thought in a million years I’d be here.”
