All Access: Pacquiao vs. Broner (Episode 1)

Showtime releases it’s first installment of the Pacquiao-Broner promotional series.

Wil Esco is an assistant editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2014.

With their Jan. 19th fight on the horizon, Showtime Sports releases it’s first full video feature of All Access, covering the build-up to the pay-per-view fight. In this short series you’ll catch behind the scenes footage of Pacquiao and Broner as they prepare to do battle.

The first episode begins with Broner and Pacquiao kicking off their promotional run with their opening press conference, formally announcing the fight. Soon after we catch footage of Pacquiao preparing for his morning run, and the countless number of Filipinos who litter the street outside, just hoping for a generous donation.

“The line is so long. Even your money is simply not enough,” Pacquiao’s wife would say on camera.

The focus then turns to Broner, who discusses his relationship with longtime trainer Michael Stafford, as well as his current lead trainer Kevin Cunningham.

“Coach Kevin is a more structured coach. He’s real militant, he gonna tell it how it is and that’s just what I needed. I need that structure ‘cause I’m a damn fool,” Broner proclaims.
