The International Boxing Hall of Fame has released its 2020 ballots, which include a women’s “modern” and “trail blazer” categories for the first time ever. Though pictures of the entire ballot have yet to emerge, the IBHOF did announce the newest additions to its “modern” category.

Boxers added to the men’s modern ballot for 2020 include Jorge Arce, Timothy Bradley, Vuyani Bungu, Joel Casamayor, Diego Corrales, Carl Froch, Bernard Hopkins, Sergio Martinez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosley, Antonio Tarver and Israel Vazquez.

Boxers comprising the first ever women’s modern ballot include Laila Ali, Sumya Anani, Regina Halmich, Holly Holm, Susi Kentikian, Christy Martin, Lucia Rijker, Jisselle Salandy, Mary Jo Sanders, Laura Serrano, Ana Maria Torres and Ann Wolfe.

Last year saw Julian Jackson, Donald Curry, and Buddy McGirt join the “modern” category, while Tony DeMarco joined the “old timers.”

From where I’m sitting, Bernard Hopkins and Juan Manuel Marquez are no-brainers, with Mosley taking up the third slot. Plenty of competition on the women’s side, too, although the shortness of some of their careers make it hard to pinpoint a clear favorite.

Anyone up for some debate?
