We’re down to just the last couple of days before Canelo Alvarez makes the move up in weight to compete for Sergey Kovalev’s light heavyweight world title. And in anticipation of the matchup DAZN has released its third episode of 40 Days: Canelo-Kovalev.
In this episode we get a little bit more behind the scenes action of both fighters as they physically and mentally prepare themselves for the task at hand, with some insights from their trainers and other athletes.
“Boxing, you have the biggest entourage, you have all the fans, but it’s the loneliest sport in the world. You know, it’s not a team, because when the bell rings everybody takes three steps down, the fighter takes three steps in,” says Kovalev’s trainer Buddy McGirt.
Catch up with the first and second episodes here as we wrap up this series. Saturday night all the talk comes to a halt and the punches start flying.
