Saturday night’s DAZN card is set, with Gennadiy Golovkin and Sergiy Derevyanchenko making weight this afternoon in New York, meaning their fight for the vacant IBF middleweight title at Madison Square Garden is a go.
Golovkin (39-1-1, 35 KO) will be going for win No. 40 in his career against the dangerous Derevyanchenko (13-1, 10 KO). GGG weighed in at 159¼ with Derevyanchenko at 159, both below the 160-pound limit.
Top junior middleweight prospect Israil Madrimov (3-0, 3 KO) will be in the co-feature as he faces Alejandro Barrera (29-5, 18 KO) in a 10-round bout. Madrimov weighed in at 153¼, and Barrera at 152½.
Former 140-pound titleholder Ivan Baranchyk (19-1, 12 KO) is also set to return to action, as he’ll look to recover from his first career loss. He’ll take on veteran Gabriel “Tito” Bracero (25-3-1, 6 KO). Baranchyk weighed in at 139½ with Bracero at 140.
