Today at 5 pm ET streaming live on DAZN, Canelo Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev will hit the scales for tomorrow night’s main event in Las Vegas, which will also air exclusively on DAZN.
Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KO) is coming up from 160 to 175 pounds for this fight, and it’ll be interesting to see how he looks weighing in compared to Kovalev (34-3-1, 29 KO), a natural and career light heavyweight. He’ll obviously be the shorter man, but we’ll see what he looks like in the body fighting at 175 — if he’s a little soft, that could be a sign of trouble moving up against a still-credible if a bit faded opponent.
Also on the card: Ryan Garcia faces Romero Duno in a 12-round lightweight bout ... Seniesa Estrada and Marlen Esparza meet in a 10-round flyweight fight ... and Blair Cobbs takes on Carlos Ortiz in a 10-round welterweight matchup.
