Tonight at 10:30 pm ET from Sloan, Iowa, ShoBox: The New Generation returns to Showtime with a tripleheader, immediately following the 9 pm ET premiere of the Showtime Sports documentary Pariah: The Lives and Deaths of Sonny Liston.
In the 10-round welterweight main event, 24-year-old Mexican Erik Vega will face 29-year-old Alberto Palmetta, a southpaw from Argentina.
The co-feature will be a 10-round light heavyweight bout between Marcos Escudero, a 26-year-old from Argentina, and Joe George, a 30-year-old from Houston.
The opener will see 23-year-old Amilcar Vidal Jr, born in Uruguay and based in California, making his US debut against Zach Prieto, a 27-year-old from Texas who has mostly fought in Mexico thus far.
All six fighters are looking to make a statement this evening and if you add up their records you’ll go, “Wow! What a winning percentage!” so expect Steve Farhood to do that.
