“Extremely early-rising American viewers,” I should say.
Jason (19-1, 16 KO is the far more proven of the two thanks to a stoppage of Kohei Kono and highly competitive loss to Emmanuel Rodriguez in the Super Series bantamweight quarterfinals last year. He’s since scored a pair of knockouts in his native Australia and now faces Dixon Flores (16-6-3, 5 KO), a 25-year-old Nicaraguan who is 1-1-1 (2 NC) in his last five but recently knocked out Alexander Espinoza.
Flores is seven spots behind him in the WBA rankings.
Andrew (20-0, 13 KO) is Kal Yafai’s #1 contender, but will instead fight #5 Elton Dharry (24-5-1, 14 KO). The Guyana native hasn’t lost since 2009, but hasn’t fought anyone worth a darn, either. Moloney’s résumé is anchored by a 2018 knockout of the badly shopworn Luis Concepcion.
If we do decide to have live coverage for this, let me be the first to say: not it. (Note from Scott: We will. I’m it.)
