Former junior lightweight titleholder Gervonta “Tank” Davis has had problems on the scales before, forfeiting a title in 2017 when he failed to make weight, but there didn’t figure to be problems with him moving up to lightweight for tomorrow night’s Showtime main event against Yuriorkis Gamboa.

The 25-year-old Davis initially weighed in at 136¼ for the 135-pound fight, but came back later to come in at 134¾, so everything is good to go. The 38-year-old Gamboa was fine on the scales, weighing in at 134½.

Davis (22-0, 21 KO) will be a big favorite tomorrow night, but Gamboa (30-2, 18 KO) just might have an opening if the younger man winds up affected by the late push to make weight today.

In the light heavyweight co-feature, Jean Pascal (34-6-1, 20 KO) weighed in at 174¾, with Badou Jack (22-2-3, 13 KO) at 174½.

The Showtime opener is a super middleweight bout between Jose Uzcategui (29-3, 24 KO) and Lionell Thompson (21-5, 12 KO). Uzcategui weighed in at 167¾, with Thompson at the limit of 168.

The Showtime broadcast starts at 9 pm ET. Two prelim fights will stream free online at 6:45 pm ET. Angelo Leo (18-0, 8 KO) will meet Cesar Juarez (25-7, 19 KO) in an IBF junior featherweight eliminator. Leo weighed in at 121½ with Juarez at 121¾, both under the 122-pound limit. Malik Hawkins (17-0, 10 KO) will face Darwin Price (16-0, 9 KO) in a 140-pound bout, as well. Hawkins came in at 139½ and Price at 140 even.
