Tonight at 10 pm ET on Showtime, ShoBox: The New Generation is back with a doubleheader from Mulvane, Kansas, with Shohjahon Ergashev meeting Mykal Fox in the junior welterweight main event.
Ergashev (15-0, 14 KO) is thought to be a serious prospect at 140, an Uzbeki fighter now based in Detroit with serious power and skills. The 27-year-old won five fights in 2018, four of them by stoppage.
He now faces fellow unbeaten prospect Fox (19-0, 5 KO), a junior welterweight who measures in just under 6’4” and as an interesting prospect in his own right. Fox went 4-0 last year, including a decision win over veteran DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley in August.
In the co-feature, we’ll see super bantamweights Jesse Hernandez (12-1, 7 KO) and Thomas Ward (25-0, 4 KO) do battle. Hernandez is a Texas fighter with eight straight wins coming in. Ward, from England, is making his U.S. debut and looking to impress.
