Croatian heavyweight prospect Filip Hrgovic, who won a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics, has signed a co-promotional deal with Matchroom Boxing, meaning his fights will be coming to DAZN for U.S. viewers and Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.

Promoter Eddie Hearn says he’s excited to add another promising fighter to the stable:

“I’m excited to team up with Team Sauerland to work on an exceptional young heavyweight in Filip Hrgovic. Everyone in the sport knows what a threat this man is, and he is already willing to jump in big fights at such an early stage in his career.”

Hrgovic, 26, turned pro after the Rio Olympics in Sept. 2017, beating journeyman Raphael Zumbano in Latvia. He’s 7-0 (5 KO) overall thus far, and his last two wins have been very solid for his level of experience, victories over Amir Mansour and Kevin Johnson, both coming in Zagreb.

At the Olympics, he beat Turkey’s Ali Eren Demirezen and Cuba’s Lenier Pero before dropping a controversial split decision to France’s Tony Yoka, the eventual gold medal winner and also a current top prospect in the pro ranks.
