Today at 2:30 pm ET streaming live on DAZN, Sergio Garcia defends his European 154-pound title against Ted Cheeseman in the main event from London’s O2 Arena.
Spain’s Garcia (28-0, 13 KO) goes on the road for this one, trying to make the first defense of the title he won against Maxime Beaussire last September. The 26-year-old Garcia is seen as the underdog here, largely due to the fact that Cheesman will have the home field.
Cheeseman (15-0, 9 KO) is a 23-year-old London native who won the British title at 154 pounds last time out, beating Asinia Byfield on Oct. 27. The European title is the next step up — and the last step, if successful, before potentially aiming for the world stage in the near future.
Here’s the run order for the televised portion of the card:
- Felix Cash (10-0, 6 KO) vs Rasheed Abolaji (11-4-1, 6 KO), vacant Commonwealth middleweight title, 12 rounds
- Lawrence Okolie (10-0, 7 KO) vs Tamas Lodi (20-11-2, 17 KO), cruiserweights, 10 rounds
- Jake Ball (12-1, 9 KO) vs Craig Richards (13-1, 7 KO), light heavyweights, 10 rounds
- Sergio Garcia (28-0, 13 KO) vs Ted Cheeseman (15-0, 9 KO), for Garcia’s European junior middleweight title, 12 rounds
