The Feb. 16 PBC on FOX event from Los Angeles has a new notable fight added to the card, as former titleholder Ryosuke Iwasa and Cesar Juarez will meet in an IBF super bantamweight eliminator, with the winner in line for a shot at TJ Doheny.

Iwasa (25-3, 16 KO) won the IBF title in from Yukinori Oguni in Sept. 2017, and made a successful defense in March 2018 against Ernesto Saulong. He faced Doheny as the favorite last August at Korauken Hall, but Doheny pulled off the upset and took the title in Tokyo. It was a competitive fight with a debated outcome.

Juarez (23-6, 17 KO) is a Mexican scrapper probably best known for losses to Nonito Donaire in 2015 and Isaac Dogboe in 2018. He’s scored some solid wins along the way, beating the likes of Juan Carlos Sanchez Jr, Cesar Seda, and then-unbeaten Albert Pagara, but hasn’t been able to get over the hump at the top level. This gives him another opportunity.

The PBC on FOX event is headlined by a featherweight title fight between Leo Santa Cruz and Rafael Rivera, and also features what promises to be an all-action battle between Omar Figueroa Jr and John Molina Jr.
