Gervonta Davis vs Hugo Ruiz: Final Press Conference (Live at 4:00 pm ET)

Gervonta Davis and Hugo Ruiz go head to head this Saturday.

Today, starting at 4 p.m. ET, Showtime Sports will be live streaming the final press conference for Gervonta Davis vs. Hugo Ruiz, airing live on Showtime this Saturday night. You can catch the full live streaming presser above.

Gervonta Davis (20-0, 19 KOs) will be defending his WBA 130lb title in this outing while coming off an inactive 2018 where he fought only once, stopping Jesus Cuellar last April. In the months since Davis had been quite vocal about his displeasure with his promotional situation under Mayweather Promotions, but those issues seemed to have died down recently.

Meanwhile Davis’ opponent, Hugo Ruiz, comes into this fight as a late replacement after an injury forced Abner Mares off of this card. Ruiz, a featherweight, will be moving up in weight less than a month after his last fight a few weeks ago, where he decisioned Alberto Guevara on Jan. 19.

This is quite likely going to be a rough outing for Ruiz who will be fighting a much bigger and much more talented opponent than he’s used to, but he at least says he’s ready to knock Davis out.
