As Terence Crawford begins to close-in on his April 20th fight date with Amir Khan, the WBO welterweight titleholder expresses his excitement to be headlining at Madison Square Garden and say he expects to receive a warm welcome.

And despite most fans and pundits dismissing Khan’s chances against him, Crawford says he’s not going into the fight with that mindset because he believes this win will really give a boost to his career.

“I know some people are writing him off, but I am by no means overlooking him. He’s a former unified world champion, and come April 20, I’ll be looking to go out there to seek and destroy.

“I’m excited about this fight because I believe it can push my career to another level.”

Crawford, 31, is usually a man of very few words outside of the ring — so don’t expect much by way of trash talk to hype up the fight — but he always makes up for it once the bell rings and gets to work. And even if you expect Khan to lose, this fight should be pretty entertaining for as long as it last.
