Thanks to CBC and their partnership with AsianBoxing.info, you can watch tonight’s (this morning’s? today’s?) WBO flyweight title fight between Kosei Tanaka and Ryoichi Taguchi free and legal right here on the internet!
The fights are already streaming as of this posting, with the main event expected around 3 am ET, or at least that’s the wording on the release about it. You might want to tune in earlier than that, or it might come on later than that. I don’t know. It’s a free world title fight, how much arguing is anyone going to do?
Tanaka (12-0, 7 KO) is arguably the best flyweight in the sport right now. At 23, he’s already a three-division champion, having won belts at 105 and 108 before claiming the WBO 112-pound belt with a majority decision win over Sho Kimura last September in Nagoya.
Tonight, he faces Taguchi (27-3-2, 12 KO), a 32-year-old veteran and former 108-pound titleholder himself. Taguchi reigned as WBA “world” titleholder from 2014-2018, losing his belt in May of last year to Hekkie Budler via narrow decision.
