Errol Spence rises to the top of CompuBox stats in power punching

Fresh off a shutout win over Mikey Garcia over the weekend, CompuBox statistics were able to determine that IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence landed a ridiculous 51.1% of his power punches in the fight.

And in combination with his prolific use of the jab, Spence now ranks #1 among top fighters in power punch connect percentage as well as #2 in average jabs thrown per round.

The current top 5 fighters in power punch connect percentage are as follows:

1) Errol Spence - 49.3%
2) Deontay Wilder - 48.4%
3) Terence Crawford - 47.6%
4) Keith Thurman - 47.5%
5) Vasiliy Lomachenko - 47.2%

The CompuBox average for power punch connect percentage is 36.9%.

And for fighters who average the most jabs thrown per round, the top 5 now looks like:

1) Oleksandr Usyk - 41.5
2) Errol Spence - 37.1
