Today at 3 pm ET streaming live on DAZN in the United States and airing on Sky Sports Main Event in the United Kingdom, Charlie Edwards returns in the main event to defend his WBC flyweight title against Spain’s Angel Moreno.
Edwards (14-1, 6 KO) upset Cristofer Rosales in December to win the belt, and will be making his first defense. This time, he’ll be the clear favorite, as the 35-year-old Moreno (19-2-2, 6 KO) has largely built his record against really lousy opposition.
The undercard will feature a pair of domestic title fights. Prospect Joshua Buatsi (9-0, 7 KO) will face Liam Conroy (16-3-1, 8 KO) for the vacant British light heavyweight title, and British cruiserweight champ Lawrence Okolie (11-0, 8 KO) will put his title up against the Commonwealth belt held by Wadi Camacho (21-7, 12 KO).
Former British lightweight champion Lewis Ritson (17-1, 11 KO) will also be in action, as he moves up to 140 pounds to take on Argentina’s German Argentino Benitez (21-3, 9 KO). All of those fights are set for 12 rounds.
The rest of the card:
- Jason Quigley (15-0, 11 KO) vs Mathias Eklund (10-1-2, 4 KO), super middleweights, 8 rounds
- Sean McGoldrick (7-0, 2 KO) vs Sean Cairns (3-1, 0 KO), super bantamweights, 6 rounds
- Shannon Courtenay (debut) vs Cristina Busuioc (0-0-1, 0 KO), super bantamweights, 4 rounds
- Lewis Syrett (5-0, 2 KO) vs Danail Stoynov (3-5, 1 KO), middleweights, 4 rounds
- Tom Ansell (6-0, 1 KO) vs Chris Adaway (8-53-4, 1 KO), junior welterweights, 4 rounds
