ShoBox, ESPN+, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for April 5-6

ShoBox is the headline event of a pretty quiet weekend in boxing.

Mayweather Promotions
Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Friday, April 5

ESPN+, 12:30 pm ET, Aliu Bamidele Lasisi vs Ricardo Blandon, Davey Oliver Joyce vs Stephen Tiffney. Blandon is a replacement for Keyvin Lara. Lasisi is a 28-year-old super flyweight from Nigeria, now based in Dubai, where this card is being held. Ireland’s Joyce, a featherweight, is unbeaten at 9-0, but he’s also 32. Tiffney is from Scotland. This is the least significant boxing card in the young history of ESPN+, honestly, but hey. Fights. BLH will have live coverage.

SHO, 10:00 pm ET, Angelo Leo vs Neil Tabanao, Xavier Martinez vs John Moralde, Andres Cortes vs Jahmal Dyer. A Mayweather Promotions edition of ShoBox from Las Vegas. The top two fights are 10 rounds, the opener is an eight-rounder, at 126 for the main event, and the other two fights at 130. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, April 6

Televisa (MEX), 11:00 pm ET, Francisco Rodriguez Jr vs Oswaldo Novoa.

Azteca (MEX), 11:00 pm ET, Pedro Campa vs Abner Lopez, Ramon Alvarez vs Jose Carlos Paz.
