Canelo-Jacobs: Mexico City Press Conference

Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs formally announce their fight from Mexico City.

In anticipation of their May 4th fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, middleweight champions Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs hold an official press conference in Mexico City to formally announce their fight. You can watch the full presser above thanks to our friends at Fight Hub TV.

Canelo enters this fight coming off a stoppage win over Rocky Fielding during a short trip to super middleweight or his DAZN debut, but will now be coming back to 160 for a title unification bout.

Meanwhile Jacobs captured the vacant IBF middleweight title when he took a split decision over Sergey Derevyanchenko last October in his hometown of New York City.

Both fighters have been quite respectful of one another so don’t expect a build-up filled with trash talk or bad blood, but once the bell rings we should get plenty of action as both fighters have a lot to gain (and lose) in this outing.
