Mikey Garcia’s WBC mandatory challenger, Luke Campbell, will stay busy in Philadelphia on March 15th, taking a tune-up before Garcia faces Errol Spence Jr. the following day.
I’m heading to the home of Rocky! I’ll be fighting in Philadelphia on the 15th of March. Can’t wait to get back in the ring and one step closer to a title shot, ready to go! #Coolhand pic.twitter.com/TxLahZlkVs

Campbell (19-2, 15 KO) unsuccessfully challenged Jorge Linares for the belt in 2017, surviving an early knockdown to force a razor-thin split decision. He went on to beat last-second opponent Troy James, who weighed more than 10 pounds heavier than Campbell, last May, then avenged his loss to Yvan Mendy on the Anthony Joshua-Alexander Povetkin card.
Campbell-Garcia would be an excellent fight, one of the better options for Garcia at 135 besides the obvious Lomachenko unification match. Here’s hoping Mikey goes back to his proper weight class after this.
In addition to the main event between Tevin Farmer and Jono Carroll, the card will see Katie Taylor look to claim a third belt against WBO champ Rose Volante and Gabriel Rosado attempt to keep his career alive against Maciej Sulecki.
