Austin “No Doubt” Trout will make his first ring appearance since last June next month when he faces former U.S. Olympian Terrell Gausha in Biloxi, Mississippi, headlining a May 25th PBC on FS1 show co-helmed by Chordel Booker vs. Wale Omotoso.

Trout (31-5, 17 KO), who handed Miguel Cotto the latter’s first-ever loss at Madison Square Garden and subsequently gave Canelo everything he could handle, is just 1-3 in his last four, losing competitive decisions to the Charlo brothers and suffering a TKO loss to Jarrett Hurd. He’s still a strong super welterweight, though; even in the Hurd loss, he was doing well until his larger foe started to wear him down. At 33, a title run looks to be out of the picture unless Tony Harrison skips a few contenders, but he shouldn’t be written off yet.

Gausha (21-1. 10 KO) represented America in London, but has had a fairly unremarkable pro career, feasting on mid-level opposition until Erislandy Lara outclassed him in 2017. He returned from 14 months away last December, knocking out PBC regular Joey Hernandez in one.

Booker (14-0, 7 KO) is the A-side of the co-main, a developing prospect going up against a decent gatekeeper in Omotoso (27-3, 21 KO). This fight will end an 18-month layoff for the Nigeria-born, Oxnard-based Omotoso.
