SRISAKET SOR RUNGVISAI vs JUAN FRANCISCO ESTRADA

Round 1: Estrada comes out quick with some hard shots to open the round. Estrada knocks Rungvisai back with a stiff jab. Estrada is setting a fast pace early as he tries to make an impression on Rungvisai. Rungvisai lands a body shot with his right hand. Left lands to the body for Rungvisai. Estrada lands a counter right downstairs. Uppercut lands for Estrada. Rungvisai tries to put a couple punches to get but has them smothered. Hard shots from Estrada knocks Rungvisai back again! Clean double left hook to the head and body lands for Estrada. Good opening round for Estrada. Estrada 10-9.

Round 2: Estrada comes out quick again with several left hands to start the round. Estrada lands another shot as Rungvisai gets in one of his own. Now Rungvisai lands a right hand to the body. Rungvisai misses on a straight right hand upstairs. Left hook partially lands for Estrada. Jab lands for Estrada. Now Estrada lands a left and a right. Rungvisai comes back with a right hand, Estrada responds with a body shot. Uppercut lands clean on the chin of Rungvisai. Right hand lands upstairs for Estrada and gets his attention. Estrada 10-9, 20-18.

Round 3: Estrada tries to start quick again but Rungvisai tries to match his tempo in this round. Rungvisai just misses on a right hand that follows a jab. Estrada lands a nice counter right hand at center ring. Now Rungvisai lands a hard right hand that knocks Estrada back. Estrada pumps three jabs as he circles to his left. Hard right hand lands to the body for Rungvisai and may have hurt Estrada a little down there. Estrada lands two counters at the end of Rungvisai’s punches. Estrada attacks again with several punches. Rungvisai comes back and looks for a left to the body. I think Rungvisai landed the hardest shots of the round. Rungvisai 10-9.

Round 4: Estrada lands couple of punches to open the round. Rungvisai lands a right hand upstairs. Rungvisai lands a right hand to the body, followed by a left. Estrada lands a couple of quick shots on the inside. Rungvisai throws another right to the body, then a left, as Estrada fires back. Both fighters trading and Rungvisai stings him upstairs. Jab lands for Estrada. Flurry comes from Estrada at center ring. Lead left hook lands for Estrada. Estrada 10-9, 39-37.

Round 5: Both fighters trade shots at center ring to start the round. Rungvisai steps forward and tries a shot to the body. Estrada jabs back to the body and ducks a hook from Rungvisai. One-two come from Estrada. Right hand from Estrada picks off Rungvisai. Three left hands come from Rungvisai but land on Estrada’s arm. Jab comes from Estrada and lands upstairs. Another one-two lands for Estrada. Rungvisai tries a hook to the body but can’t find a clear target. Jab lands clean from Estrada as Rungvisai lands a right. Estrada 10-9.

Round 6: Rungvisai misses on a lead jab which was a little lazy. Rungvisai lands a left hook as Estrada ducks down. Left hook to the body lands for Estrada and Rungvisai acknowledges it. Estrada is really sharp tonight and picking off Rungvisai nearly at will. Rungvisai throws a combination as Estrada covers up. Right hand to the body lands for Estrada. Check hook lands for Estrada. Rungvisai presses forward aggressively but can’t get in any clean work. Estrada lands a couple more shots upstairs on Rungvisai. Double left hook comes from Estrada. Estrada 10-9, 59-55.

Round 7: Both fighters trade jabs to open the round. Left hook to the body partially lands for Estrada. Estrada lands a jab to the body. Rungvisai misses on a series of punches as Estrada steps out of range. Right hand to the body lands for Estrada. Rungvisai hits the canvas on an accidental trip from Estrada. Rungvisai lands a hook upstairs, then a right hand. Left to the body lands for Estrada. Two body punches land for Rungvisai. Estrada jabs to the body and comes back with a left hook and a straight right hand upstairs. Estrada 10-9.

Round 8: Right hand lands for Estrada and Rungvisai lands a body shot of his own. Right hand misses to the body for Rungvisai. Now Estrada lands a counter right upstairs that knocks Rungvisai off balance again. Left to the body partially lands for Rungvisai. Left hook lands hard upstairs for Rungvisai. Estrada taunts Rungvisai and comes forward behind a combination. Right hand to the body score for Estrada, then a looping right to the head. Three punch combination lands well for Estrada, then another follow up combination. Estrada 10-9, 79-73.

Round 9: Estrada tries to lead with some check hook but Rungvisai wings several hard hooks. Now Estrada stop and pops a combination, finishing with a left hook to the body. Now Rungvisai lands a combination as Estrada tries to cover up. Rungvisai throws some more punches and starts making more contact with Estrada. Jab lands for Rungvisai. Rungvisai steps forward again behind several punches that push Estrada to the ropes. Counter left partially lands for Rungvisai. Rungvisai 10-9.

Round 10: Rungvisai throws a couple punches that don’t land clean. Estrada lands a left hook to the head. Short quick combination comes from Estrada. Estrada throws three punches and steps forward to land some more. The fighters exchange and Estrada’s glove hit the canvas. It’s not ruled a knockdown. Counter right lands for Estrada. Left to the body comes from Rungvisai and makes contact. Rungvisai walks into a right hand from Estrada. Rungvisai lands a couple clean shots just before the bell and edges the round for Rungvisai. Rungvisai 93-97.

Round 11: Left hand lead lands for Rungvisai. Rungvisai throws several more but takes some leather back from Estrada. Hard shot from Rungvisai lands below the belt and Estrada immediately goes down. He gets back up and takes some time to recover. Left hand from Rungvisai lands. Both fighters trade at center ring and both land. Estrada gets knocked back but a Rungvisai left hand. Another hard left from Rungvisai lands with a thud. Estrada trades with Rungvisai and gets in a couple shots. Estrada eats a hard left from Rungvisai. Rungvisai is coming on strong now but eats a counter right from Estrada. Left from Rungvisai lands again. Rungvisai 10-9.

Round 12: Rungvisai comes out aggressive and throws some left hands to the body. Estrada now tries to box a little bit more but eats a left hand from Rungvisai. Estrada trades and gets in a right hand this time. Estrada partially lands a left hook. Estrada gets caught by a couple of grazing shots from Rungvisai. Rungvisai doubles up on a left to the body. Estrada misses on a flurry at center ring. Left hand from Rungvisai lands upstairs. Estrada lands a jab. Both fighters trade at the bell. Rungvisai 10-9. I think Rungvisai came on strong late but it was too late. I’ve got it scored for Estrada, 115-113.

DANIEL ROMAN vs TJ DOHENY

Round 1: Roman leads with a couple of measuring jabs. Roman presses forward and tries another jab. Doheny flicks one of his own that misses. Counter left land lands for Doheny as Roman presses forward. Now Roman throws a right hand to the body. Body shot lands for Roman as he gets Doheny to the ropes. Doheny gets warned for pushing his forearm in Roman’s face. Doheny lands another counter left hand. Check hook partially lands for Doheny. Left hand scores again for Doheny. Doheny 10-9.

Round 2: Roman presses forward as Doheny tries to use movement to pick his spots to counter. Counter left hand partially lands for Doheny. Roman has been having a tough time locking down Doheny to get his offense off. Now Roman lands a good shot but Doheny comes back and gets in a left hand upstairs. Counter left uppercut lands for Doheny. Roman lands a couple of good hooks to the body. Roman throws a lead hook that catches Doheny off balance and Doheny goes down! Doheny gets up and it seems like it was a flash knockdown and he’s not hurt. Roman 10-8, 19-18.

Round 3: Doheny gets a left hand blocked by Roman. Roman goes down to the body with a straight right hand. Left hook from Doheny gets blocked again. Roman jumps in behind a right hand that Doheny ducks. Doheny lands a short counter left. Another check hook lands for Doheny. Roman lands a jab as Doheny moves backwards. Right hook from Roman clips Doheny. Close round but I slightly favor Roman’s aggression. Roman 10-9.

Round 4: Roman comes forward behind a combination but Doheny gets below the punches. Roman comes forward and puts Doheny back on the ropes. Now Doheny pivots back to center ring and tries to create space. Hard right hand from Roman stuns Doheny! Roman follows up with several shots and Doheny covers up. Another right hand comes from Roman and Doheny lands a clean right hand and tells Roman he wants to throw down at center ring! Doheny lands a couple of hard left hands on Roman. Roman lands a right hand again and Doheny’s nose is bleeding. Close round but I’ll edge it Roman again because the damage is showing. Roman 10-9, 39-36.

Round 5: Roman comes out stalking and Doheny looks for a spot to land a check hook. Roman continues to comes forward and lets go a flurry of punches with Doheny on the ropes. Doheny is looking like he’s starting to wilt a little bit in there. Doheny lands a counter left uppercut. Doheny’s right eye is now swollen up and not looking great. Both fighters trade shots a center ring and make contact. Jab lands for Doheny. Doheny 10-9.

Round 6: Jab partially lands for Roman to open the round. Right hand from Roman makes a little contact to the body. Now Roman lands a solid couple of body shots. Check hook lands for Doheny but Roman responds with a left hook. Left hand lands for Doheny. Roman comes forward and gets Doheny in the corner and unloads several shots. Doheny gets back to the middle of the ring and tries to maintain his distance. Right hand lead lands for Roman. Roman 10-9, 58-55.

Round 7: Doheny comes out still trying to box on the back foot and is having intermittent success but he’s showing the signs of punishment. Roman lands a hook upstairs. Now Doheny lands a hard left to the head and body. Doheny throws a bunch of lefts hooks in a row and puts Roman down! Referee calls it a push down — correctly as he did push Roman down at the end of a punch. Doheny comes back foward and unloads a barrage of punches, land a number of lefts on Roman again. Hard left from Doheny lands again! Doheny trying to break Roman and Roman tries to fight Doheny off of him. Doheny 10-9.

Round 8: Doheny leads with a jab. Now Doheny tries a left hand that Roman blocks. Roman ducks this Doheny shot and lands a counter jab. Roman presses forward and Doheny looks like he needs a break in this round. Now Doheny comes forward and throws three punches. Doheny jabs and throws a right hand. Roman tries a few shots but they fall short. Hard left hook from Roman lands just before the bell. Doheny 10-9, 75-76.

Round 9: Roman steps forward and lands a hard, thumping body shot that gets a rise out of the crowd. Doheny eats another shot upstairs and starts bleeding more. Roman throws a one-two and takes a counter from Doheny. Right hook lands for Doheny. Counter right hand from Roman buckles Doheny who nearly hits the deck. Somehow Doheny managed to catch himself just inches from the canvas. Roman comes on strongerand Doheny tries to fire back! Roman 10-9.

Round 10: Roman starts stalking right away as Doheny skirts the outside of the ring. Right hand to the body lands clean for Roman. Another right hand to the body scores for Roman, who then tries to wing an overhand right to the head. Roman lands a clean shot downstairs once he gets Doheny to the ropes. Doheny lands a counter left hand. Roman throws a flurry of punches and Doheny just covers up along the ropes. Left from Doheny clips Roman upstairs. Roman whips in a couple more big body shots and Doheny tries to skip away. Roman 10-9, 96-93.

Round 11: Roman leaps in with a one-two that just misses. Jab scores for Doheny. Clean left hook from Roman hurts Doheny to the liver! Doheny hunches over but bites down and tries to fight through it. Another body shot lands for Roman and puts Doheny down this time. Doheny gets up before the 10 count and says he wants to continue. Roman comes forward and lands a jab to the body that hunches Doheny over! Doheny is battered to the body and can’t take any more clean shots downstairs. Overhand right hand lands upstairs for Roman. Left lands upstairs for Doheny. Roman 10-8.

Round 12: Roman lands a jab to the body and Doheny shows signs of distress. Right hand lead lands upstairs for Roman. Lead left hook lands upstairs for Roman. Roman throws a right hand to the body that falls just short. Roman presses forward patiently and lets go some right hand leads. Left to the body just barely misses for Roman. Doheny lands a left hand. Now Roman lands a counter right. Roman 10-9. I’ve got it for Roman, 116-110.

JESSIE VARGAS vs HUMBERTO SOTO

Round 1: Vargas comes to center ring first and lands a jab. Soto throws a quick flurry and cuffs Vargas with something. The fighters collide and clash heads but there’s not cut. Vargas lands a clean right hand that follows a jab as Soto tries to exchange. Soto throws a right hand but doesn’t land it clean. Clean lead left hook lands for Vargas. These two aren’t taking any getting-to-know-you time, they’re going right after it. Soto comes in with a shot but catches a body during the punch below the belt and hits the deck. The referee gives Soto some time to compose himself. Left hook lands for Vargas to the body and head. Soto leaps in with a left hook that falls just short. Soto is game but he’s getting clipped by Vargas in the exchanges because he’s just not as fast. Furious start to the fight. Vargas 10-9.

Round 2: Vargas lands a jab at center ring. Soto tries to counter with an uppercut that falls short. Both fighters trade shots and both clash heads. Vargas has a bad cut over his left eye as a result of the head clash. Left hook lands for Vargas. Soto leads with a right hand and eats a left counter from Vargas, who is much sharper and fresher than Soto. Vargas lands another short left hook just before falling into a clinch. Right hand lands to the body for Vargas, Soto throws back in combination but can’t land clean. Right hand from Soto lands this time. Vargas 10-9, 20-18.

Round 3: Vargas leads with a jab to the body that Soto knocks down. Soto comes in behind a combination and takes another counter in between his punches. So far that hasn’t deterred Soto one bit. Left hook lands for Soto as he’s backed to the ropes. Vargas gets in a couple shots in return. Both fighters are trading and Soto catches another shot that strayed low. Hard right hand lands clean for Soto! Jab lands for Vargas now as he gets back to center ring. Two jabs land to the body for Vargas, then a right hand upstairs. Good fight but Vargas is winning the rounds on cleaner punching. Vargas 10-9.

Round 4: Vargas is having more success landing his jab downstairs. Left hook partially lands for Vargas but Soto lands a harder right hand in return. Another right hand partially lands for Soto. Soto comes forward with three punches that Vargas ducks. Now Soto lands a rare jab. Right hand lands for Soto who comes forward and throws some more. The fighters exchange again until they fall into the ropes. Right hand and left hook lands for Soto. Check hook lands for Vargas. Soto 10-9, 37-39.

Round 5: Vargas has a wad of vaseline on his cut that referee makes his corner take a little off before starting the round. Vargas lands a jab but Soto responds with three punches that land on Vargas. Vargas jabs to the body. Now Vargas tries to go downstairs with a right hand that doesn’t lands. Vargas lands a jab and Soto gets in a right. Left hook lands upstairs for Vargas this time. Vargas lands another hook but Soto takes it well. Chopping left lands for Vargas on the inside. Soto tries to flurry at the end of the round but doesn’t land much of anything. Vargas 10-9.

Round 6: Soto knocks down a jab to the body from Vargas. Soto eats a jab as he walks straight in looking to land a right hand. Jab lands for Vargas again, and then a right hand that puts Soto down! Soto beats the counts and Vargas tries to pour it on with a volley of punches. Soto is hurt badly and Vargas is teeing off on him along the ropes! Referee has to jump in to stop it. Vargas TKO-6.


This evening at 7:30 pm ET from the Forum in Inglewood, California, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and Juan Francisco Estrada headline a big night of fights streaming live on DAZN.

The card also features a super bantamweight unification between Daniel Roman and TJ Doheny, plus Jessie Vargas vs Humberto Soto on the main portion of the card. The prelim action has a bunch of real prospects: Anthony Sims Jr, Diego Pacheco, Shakhram Giyasov, Austin Williams, Murodjon Akhmadaliev, and Alberto Melian will all be in action.
