Things are cooking for Heather Hardy, the Brooklyn-based everywoman who stands as one of boxing’s top-tier role models of perseverance.

The 37-year-old dual sport practitioner will attend a Bellator press conference on Tuesday in New York to talk about her next fight, which has been slated for June 14 at Madison Square Garden.

No foe has been mentioned, and word dropped when Bellator — touting a Lyoto Machada-Chael Sonnen main event — sent out a media invite to the presser.

Hardy, 22-0 (4 KO) in boxing, is 2-1 in mixed martial arts. The Bellator bouts run on the DAZN streaming service, for the record.

Repping the famed and fabled Gleason’s Gym in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, Hardy last fought in the squared circle, beating Shelly Vincent last October on HBO. The fighting pride of Gerritsen Beach got the bout added to the HBO slate when she reached out to Peter Nelson, then running boxing at the cabler, right before they left involvement in pugilism. She currently owns the WBO’s featherweight title.

Hardy’s promoter in the boxing sphere, Lou DiBella, spoke to Bad Left Hook and shared some other news. A fight between Hardy and Amanda Serrano (36-1-1, 27 KO) has been agreed to in principle, he said.

Serrano (1-0-1 in MMA) also double dips — she beat Eva Voraberger in a boxing ring in January and won a vacant super flyweight title, for the record. Serrano has a deal with DAZN to show her boxing matches.

Specifics on that clash, a New York vs New York showdown, aren’t clarified. DiBella said it would make sense for the fight to take place in New York, of course, or at least New Jersey or Connecticut.

All in all, DiBella sounded optimistic that some bouts and dates for the cadre of talented and hungry women, like Hardy, will be fleshed out and cemented soon.

DiBella has Tiara Brown active and Raquel Miller, as well.

“We have these women waiting patiently, and the date I think will come pretty soon, but meanwhile, everyone’s gotta be active,” he said.

As for Hardy, there is no shortage of fans and industry folks who root for her ship to come in. She’s scrapped beyond hard to keep the rent paid while keeping her fighting dreams aloft. Looks like she is a step or two closer to that.
