Wilder vs Breazeale: Staredown at final presser gets intense after heated words

There’s legitimate bad blood between Deontay Wilder and Dominic Breazeale.

SHOWTIME

We’ll have the official quotes and photos later today from today’s final Wilder-Breazeale press conference in Brooklyn — and trust me, a lot of the “juicier” words are certainly going to get left out of that press release.

But we do have this to share just after the event has ended, a long, intense staredown between the two, featuring Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KO) just talking non-stop in Breazeale’s face. Breazeale (20-1, 18 KO) says a few things back, smiles a few times, and pretty much stays calm in Wilder’s face.

I know some of you are just never going to be convinced that any of this is more than theatrics, but there is a genuine tension between these two, real bad blood. Wilder and Breazeale don’t like each other, have had confrontations out of the ring — and quite a while ago, too, not recently to sell this fight on May 18 — and they’ve had harsh words for one another today and long before today.

Bad Left Hook will have live coverage of Wilder vs Breazeale on Saturday, May 18, at 9:00 pm ET on Showtime
